Premier Alliances has awarded a $3,700 grant to support a new Day Treatment and Training Adult facility being developed by Echoing Hope Ranch in Sierra Vista.
According to the organization, the funding will help pay for a sensory room at the new facility.
The DTA program provides sensory-motor, cognitive, communication, social interaction and behavioral training for adults with additional needs. The program is intended to help participants build skills, increase independence and improve quality of life.
“Echoing Hope Ranch is an important community resource, providing a safe, welcoming environment and meaningful programs for adults with autism,” said Derek Jordan, CEO of Premier Alliances. “Premier Alliances is proud to support this new facility.”
The new facility will provide a dedicated space for adults to continue developing communication, social and life skills in a structured environment.
Amanda Paddock, executive director of Echoing Hope Ranch, said the sensory room will provide evidence-based supports for participants.
“The funding for our sensory room allows us to provide evidence-based supports that reduce stress, increase engagement, and improve overall quality of life for the people we serve and will be a great addition to our new Day Activities and Training space,” Paddock said.
Echoing Hope Ranch and Premier Alliances have partnered for more than five years, according to the release. Echoing Hope Ranch’s administrative offices are located on the Premier Alliances campus in Bisbee.
Echoing Hope Ranch provides services and programs for individuals with autism and other additional needs, focusing on life skills, independence and community connections.
Premier Alliances, founded in 1962, provides employment opportunities, partnerships and support services for individuals with disabilities in Cochise County and Southeast Arizona.
Echoing Hope Ranch said it is continuing to seek community support for additional needs related to the facility, including furniture, flooring, paint, bathroom remodeling, roof repair and outdoor improvements.
