15 Cochise County residents received up to $2,000 in tuition support
BISBEE — Nonprofit organization Premier Alliances, Inc. has awarded 15 recipients of its Founders Scholarship with a total of $28,500 in tuition support.
All applicants were awarded between $1,500 and $2,000 from this round of the Founders Scholarship, now in its fourth year, which supports the educational goals of Cochise County residents with disabilities or those who are caretakers of a person with a disability.
The Founders Scholarship was established to honor the founding board members of Premier Alliances, who established the organization to provide educational opportunities to Bisbee children with additional needs.
“Congratulations to this year’s award recipients of the Founders Scholarship. We are so proud of you and wish you all the best as you continue on your educational journey,” said Joel Evans, President of the Premier Alliances Board of Directors. “Now in its fourth year, the Founders Scholarship has been able to help so many people achieve their goals in life.”
Today, Premier Alliances is one of the foremost employers of individuals with additional needs in Cochise County, providing stable jobs in an accommodating environment through our federal contracts for groundskeeping and custodial services.
Premier Alliances also engages in multiple community outreach efforts related to its mission, including book and equipment donations to area libraries, direct donations to special education classrooms, and creating community resources like the Founders Garden on its Bisbee Campus.
