Premier Alliances is pleased to announce new Officers and Board members, as well as acknowledge the service of outgoing Officers.
The Officers for the 2015-2016 Board are: Lisa Marra, President; Karen Brooks, Vice-President; Candy Romo, Secretary; and Sid Downey, Treasurer.
Premier Alliances acknowledged outgoing President, Karen Brooks, who was honored for her service. Karen has served on the Board as President for many years. “We have seen tremendous growth and expansion to our programs and facilities under her direction and guidance” said incoming Board President, Lisa Marra.
Continuing to serve on the Board this year are Ray Rodgers and Mark Patrick. We are pleased to announce that Mary Gomez has joined the Board of Directors.
Premier Alliances, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established in 1962 as an alternative to institutionalization. Since that time, we have worked toward empowering people with disabilities to live dignified, productive lives by providing opportunities for personal growth through training, gainful employment, and active community involvement. We employ people with disabilities, allowing them the opportunity to earn competitive salaries and benefits, while contributing to society by paying both state and federal taxes. In fiscal year 2013-2014 we paid wages totaling $604,310 to individuals with disabilities.
Current work programs include contracts to perform grounds maintenance at Ft. Huachuca Army Base (since 1994) and janitorial and custodial services at the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station (since 2000).
Our volunteer Board of Directors is committed to working with staff to ensure and expand our mission, which is to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
